Camp Checklist is a camping gear and trip planning tool operated by pspfreak.xyz. We take privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to provide the service. Questions or requests can be sent to campchecklist@pspfreak.com.
Account information — when you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. First and last name are optional and used only to personalise greetings. We never store your password in plain text.
Trip data — destinations, travel dates, party size, gear preferences, and checklist items you create are stored so you can access them across devices. This data is linked to your account and is not shared with other users.
Vehicle information — if you enter a vehicle make, model, and color, that information is stored with your trip. It is sent to Google's Gemini API to look up cargo specs, and to imagin.studio solely to retrieve a vehicle image. See Third-party services below.
Usage data — we do not run analytics or track page views. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
Guest trips — trips created without an account are stored temporarily and are publicly accessible via a share link. They are not linked to any identity.
We use the following external services to power specific features. Your data is sent to these services only when you use those features.
We do not use third-party advertising, analytics platforms, or social media tracking pixels.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track you across other websites.
We use your browser's localStorage (not a cookie) to cache weather data, AI gear suggestions, and vehicle specs locally so pages load faster on repeat visits. This data never leaves your device except as described above. You can clear it at any time via your browser's developer tools.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies of any kind.
Your account and trip data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing campchecklist@pspfreak.com and we will remove your account and all associated trip data within 30 days.
Guest trips with no associated account may be deleted after 90 days of inactivity.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) — you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal data. To exercise any right, email us at campchecklist@pspfreak.com.
EU/EEA residents (GDPR) — you have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance (providing the service you signed up for). Contact us at campchecklist@pspfreak.com for any requests.
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Trip data is stored in a private database not accessible from the public internet. We use HTTPS for all connections.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
